Data Forests Project

Public forest governance in a datafied society
The Data Forests project zooms into the relations between nature, state, and technology, revealing how tools like Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and drones impact forest governance. It investigates how these technologies transform foresters’ work, and influence decisions about logging, planning, and forest protection. In the broader context, the project explores how digital technologies redefine evnrionmental politics, especialy in the era of climate change.
